Do you have an item

that could be interesting for the museum?

Or a history-related question?

At the Fisheries and Maritime Museum, it's our collection manager who takes care of our items and helps assess whether new items fit into our collection.

If you have an item, photos, or anything else that you think might be interesting for the museum, you should contact this person by sending an email to samling@fimus.dk. Please include the following information in your email:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Description of your item
• Preferably several pictures of the item

You can also use the same email address if you have a history-related question or if you want to see something from our collections. If your inquiry is time-consuming, we may charge a fee. You can see our price list here (only in danish).

Please note that we only accept items related to our cultural-historical responsibility, such as fishing, West Jutlandic maritime history, and offshore. We only accept items that can add value to our collection and that we don't already have.

You can expect a response to your email within up to 3 weeks.
