Squid dissection
Get up close to one of the coolest animals in the sea
Squids are some of the most fascinating animals in the sea. They are built very differently from us and are incredibly adapted to life in the ocean – both inside and out.
Now you can get up close to these amazing adaptations as you dissect a squid together with a museum educator.
Along the way, you will get to examine the squid yourself, while the educator guides you and tells you about the many cool features that make this animal so unique.
Join us, get hands-on with the squid, and discover what lies beneath the surface!
practical information
The activity is free for museum visitors.
However, there are a limited number of seats, which will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
The activity takes place from 2 pm to 3 pm on the following days:
- Saturday 10th of October 2026
- Sunday 11th of October 2026
- Wednesday 14th of October 2026
- Thursday 15th of October 2026
