Make your own nameboard
Have you ever wondered why ships have names? And why a ship might be called Hanne-Lene, Hellas or Claus Sørensen?
Join us as our museum guide shows you beautiful and intricately crafted nameboard from old fishing boats and tells stories about them.
We’ll finish by letting you decorate your own nameplate and decide what to call your ship. You’re welcome to take your nameplate home with you afterwards, of course.
The activity is free for museum visitors.
What should the ship be called takes place on selected days. Keep an eye on the daily programme to see if the activity is taking place on the day you plan to visit us.
